Amritsar is a historical and tourists attraction place in North India. The Golden Temple(Harimandi Sahib Temple)is a symbol for equality and human brotherhood, nearlymore than 100,000 tourists visits this historical temple during week days and it is the famous destination place in India for most of the NRI(Non resident Indians). This place attracts the people comming from various regions and the temple surroundings exhibits the Sikh design, art and architecture.
In Harimandir we can found the Islamic and Hindu traditional art which was designed by the Sikh artists. All the inner walls and the Domes are covering with the gold work which exhibit the great art work and this Golden temple contains the amazing paintings. Inside the temple there is a beautiful Museum which tells us the history of Sikh. This is the holy place for the Sikh people which contains four entrances on four directions.
Central Sikh Museum is the another visited place in Amritsar beside the Golden temple and inside the Museum there are huge number of paintings belongs to Sikh Gurus, collection of coins and the old arms and ancient manuscripts. Only visiting of Harimandir Temple is incomplete without visiting the Central Sikh Museum.
The Jallianwala Bagh massacre in 1919 under the British Government plays a key role in the Amritsar. In this massacre hundereds of Indian civilians killed by the Britishers in the Sikh holy place Amritsar and this incident was held on 13 April 1919 in the heart of the city, due to this incident all the Sikh people sacred to them as the birth anniversary of the Khalsa.pys of Sikh
